Your support affects the lives of thousands at the Jersey Shore

We provide food and hope for needy children, elderly, disabled, working poor and families in crisis. Each year, over 127,000 people receive food through the network of agencies we serve.

The Kids Café and the Backpack Programs provide food for low income children, breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty.

The FoodBank's culinary training program provides people with the skills to find better-paid jobs and become self-sufficient.

With the help of roughly 1000 volunteers each year, the FoodBank is a community effort.

Join us in the fight to end hunger.

Congratulations To The Winners Of Our Holiday Hunger Challenge

Superstorm Sandy couldn’t stop thousands of students across Monmouth and Ocean Counties from meeting the challenge to feed their neighbors in need during the holiday season. The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties’ 6th Annual Holiday Hunger Challenge offered schools from pre-K through college the opportunity to participate in a friendly competition to collect food and funds to help keep The FoodBank’s shelves stocked throughout the holiday season.

Seventy-three area schools participated in the Challenge, collecting almost 68,000 pounds of food and over $20,000 for The FoodBank.  Even though many schools were closed for weeks after Hurricane Sandy swept a path of destruction through area, students and their teachers carried on with the challenge.
