Your support affects the lives of thousands at the Jersey Shore

We provide food and hope for needy children, elderly, disabled, working poor and families in crisis. Each year, over 127,000 people receive food through the network of agencies we serve.

The Kids Café and the Backpack Programs provide food for low income children, breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty.

The FoodBank's culinary training program provides people with the skills to find better-paid jobs and become self-sufficient.

With the help of roughly 1000 volunteers each year, the FoodBank is a community effort.

Join us in the fight to end hunger.

OVER 10 TONS OF FOOD COLLECTED IN MONMOUTH COUNTY!!!

MONMOUTH COUNTY DONATED 21,488 POUNDS OF FOOD FROM APRIL FOOD DRIVE

April was National County Government Month with a theme of “Healthy Counties, Healthy Families;” and during that month, Monmouth County sponsored a county-wide food drive.  The county collected food in all 13 county library branches, as well as at the Hall of Records in Freedhold Borough and the Agriculture and Human Servies buildings in Freehold Township.  The library branches even offered a “Food for Fines” program in which the libraries reduced the fines by $2.00 for every food item donated.

The result – 21,488 pounds of food!

Thanks to everyone in Monmouth County who donated food, and special thanks to the Monmouth County Freeholders for sponsoring this successful food drive!____________________________________________________________________________________________

2012 SCHOOL HOLIDAY HUNGER 1,000,000 POUND CHALLENGE

The hunger relief organizations of New Jersey are challenging all students, staff, teachers and parents to think of those less fortunate this year by organizing a food drive at their school, beginning in mid-September through mid-November.

The New Jersey Federation of Food Banks is collaborating on a state-wide effort entitled Students Change Hunger.  This food drive will serve as a competition for schools from pre-school through college throughout the state. The challenge centers on each school collecting food to help the hungry of New Jersey.
