Parade goers are asked to bring canned meats, canned vegetables, canned tuna, pork & beans, chili and plastic jars of peanut butter and jelly. Bins will be set up for food donations between 11am and 4pm at the following locations: both sides of 8th, 10th, 12th and 16th Avenues and also at the train stations on 10th Avenue. There will be a bin at The Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh on 16th Avenue as well.

No one seems to be immune from the stress of the recession. With more and more people showing up at food pantries and meal sites, the FoodBank needs food more than ever. An estimated 24,000 people receive emergency food assistance each week from emergency feeding programs served by the FoodBank.
