Food Stamp Application Help
Would you like to receive $588 a month to buy food for a family of four?
Many people are eligible for food stamps but don’t know how to apply. The FoodBank helps people to apply for food stamps – including help with determining possible eligibility, sending the application, where to go for the interview, what documents to bring and what to expect. While you’re applying for food stamps you can also apply for other help. Go to www.njhelps.org to screen yourself online for 28 different programs which can help your family with income, employment, health insurance, food stamps, utility assistance and more. You can also apply for food stamps directly online at that website.
In addition to pre-screening for food stamp eligibility and submitting applications online, we also do community outreach by:
- Providing client pre-screening and information at member agencies, health fairs, community events and organizations
- Training for community and faith based organizations interested in assisting their own clients in the food stamp application process.

- TANF/General Assistance
- Social Security
- Unemployment
- Workers Compensation
- Veterans Benefits
- Child support
- Alimony
- Interest and dividends
*The gross income limits do not apply to seniors (60+) and disabled individuals. They must meet less strict net income limits, which factor in deductions for medical, shelter, and other expenses.
