Children's Hunger Awareness Program
Schools
and youth groups visit the FoodBank to learn about hunger, its causes and
solutions.
Students may tour the FoodBank, learn
to sort food, pack a family box, plant seeds and learn how food grows in a
year-round greenhouse.
Sessions run 1-2 hours and are
tailored to the interests of the group.
For more information or to
schedule a visit, call Barbara Scholz at 732-918-2600, X243.

School Art Gallery
The Erin Puck Children's Gallery in
the FoodBank's lobby is named after the young founder of Toys.Calm, a
charity that collects toys for children facing surgery and hospitalization.
Since 2003, the FoodBank has
asked local schools to submit their artwork for display in the Gallery.
Local elementary, middle and high schools have displayed drawings,
paintings, sculptures and quilts, dealing with important social themes such
as hunger, environmental concerns, human courage and volunteerism.
