Our onsite Culinary Skills Training Program helps adults in need of permanent employment get the skills they need for better paid jobs. The program helps men and women become self-sufficient through:

  • 12 weeks of on-site food preparation and classroom training, provided by a certified executive chef
  • An additional week of job shadowing at another food establishment to boost experience
  • The opportunity to receive CPR Certification and ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification.

Graduates also receive help obtaining and keeping jobs in our shore area hospitality industry.

The program is free of charge for qualified applicants and is supported through private grant funding.

The Culinary program has graduated over 200 trainees. New classes are scheduled 3 times each year. For more information see our flyer. To apply, download the 2014 application and mail it in or pick up an application in person. Please note: All questions on the application must be completed. Incomplete applications are not considered. Applicants must have reliable transportation, childcare, and be able to work full time at the completion of the program to be considered for admission.
